Hey guys,
Im wanting to upgrade my Ball cup/Studs on my R version. Currently run the stock one's I had it pop of once yesterday racing. And when I try to change camber 9/10 times they pop off. I have tried searching for the best combo to use.. like hpi studs and losi cups and so on.
So was wondering if people could post up there recommendations on whats best or what they use. And work well.... If there is a better combo please post it! Wanting to get them ordered today ideally cheers chaps!

I use Losi cups and shumacher balls just on the steering as these for me were the only ones that popped off! To date they haven't popped off or come off then changing the camber..

I currently use this:
LO-A-6015 (white Losi ball cups)
Ball studs HB-61582 (13 mm) and HB-61581 (10.3mm)
Works really well on all my cars.
I guess you can also use:
Losi grey rigid cups (LO-A-6016)
HPI studs (75115 & 75116)

Not had any problems with mine although it's early days yet!!
What I did use on the ball cups is a really small amount of black grease on the threads, it's something I've done for years. Helps ease things up especially when you're adjusting the camber.

yeah tbh think I may re try may grab some rpm or losi cups.. and stick with the stock studs and see. As was a fairly hard clip tbh when one popped off.. so think maybe jumping the gun a tad. Think I may try that, and put a small bit of grease on the thread too as you say
will be interesting to see which Schu studs I need for the car though.. as need to order a few bits soon anyway...

These are what i was using all last year only had one pop off when i got shuntted into a wall other than that been perfect
If your using Losi ball cups the ball studs need to be changed aswell
I think the Kyosho ball cups fit the Durango ball studs witch would work out abit cheaper not having to replace ball studs aswell as cups

The stock ones haven't popped off for me, the problem I have is the slop.
It makes it difficult to set the chamber, I've chucked balls studs away with less slop.
I think I'll go down the Losi cup route.
