Thanks to Neil Dudman for letting me loose on his Disco i thought i'd post up the write-up for anyone that's interested, and Neil thought you'd like to see a bit more info and pics here:

2 Day Discovery 3 Detail...

The Discovery was dropped off to me at 8am so i got cracking straight away.

This is how it was looking, not too dirty (as it is used for proper off roading) so that was good, just a bit of general dirt and road grime really:

1st step was to give it a good soaking in snow foam

Next up i went round the whole Car with some G101 and a detailing brush, going round badges, vents and grills.

I rinsed the whole thing off with the pressure washer

Next stage was to clean the wheels, using Very Cherry (Non acid) and a few different brushes, luckily these were fairly easy to clean:

Wheels were then rinsed off

The whole thing was then hand washed using some Zymol Auto-wash and my AB detailing buckets with grit guards.

After this i rinsed it down and started to Clay the whole thing using CYC Blue clay, and some Autosmart Re-Glaze as clay lube.

Once this was complete i re snow foamed the whole car and then rinesed off, before spraying Meguiars Last Touch all over and drying off with a couple of large blue fluffy towels.

I then went round the whole car checking out the condition to find a fair few scratches (from off roading mainly)

These were all on the top / corner of the bonnet edges and seem to be from the local car wash where they had to lean over to reach the middle of the bonnet

Next i got to use my new 3M Rotary machine.

I masked up the car, and started out with 3M Extra Fine Polish with the matching 3M Yellow pad. This worked ok, but wasn't touching some of the larger scratches as seen in the earlier pics so I had to step up to 3M Fast Cut + with the matching Green pad. I was now finding the scratches were pretty much disappearing before my eyes, and quickly too!! I did the bad scratched areas with this, and refined with the Extra fine polish again and did this all over the Car.

I then decided to remove all masking and use some 303 Cleaning spray on all the exterior plastics, finishing off using 303 Protectant.

I rinsed the whole thing down and dried off again, mainly to get rid of all the dust and get it ready for finishing off on day 2.

How i left it Saturday:

SUNDAY:
8am i turned up to find a heavy frost so i decided to start on the interior (I don't have any pics) but it was all hoovered out, mats removed and shampoo'd and all plastics were scrubbed clean and then protected with 303 protection.

The ice had started to melt now (Around 11am) so i filled up 2 buckets with warm water and threw them over the car to get rid of all remaining ice, then wiped down with Last touch and some drying towels.
I then applied Klasse High Gloss sealant to the entire car, and left to cure.

I then applied Poorboys wheel sealant to the wheels and left them while going to watch some Football ;-)

Next i came out to buff off the sealant and found it to be working lovely, nice deep glossy finish - couldn't wait to get pics at this stage! I then buffed off the wheels and I think they look great

Then i gave it a final coating with Zaino Z8 which again left a fantastic finish to the paint work.

Last up i cleaned all the glass with Autosmart 20/20 Crystal and Dressed the Tyres with Meguiars Endurance Gel.

I am really pleased with how it came out, see below final pics.
