Hi All,
Been hanging around here for ages and now I've finally found a reason to post something :)

My wife bought me an Ansmann XT Pro truggy for Christmas and I'm going to kit it out with a 19Turn LRP GT4 motor I've had sitting here on my desk. I'd like to go brushless eventually but the LRP brushed motor will have to do for now. My question is, how do I go about working out what pinion to use??? I've got a draw full of pinions, but don't know where to start. My experience so far has mainly been playing around with old Tamiya's with the odd sport motor using the stock pinions supplied with the kits.

Any advice would be very gratefully received.

Best regards

Justin :D

Personally Justin,I'd start off with the kit 21T pinion and check the running temps, then take it from there.

Cheers Dreadstar. I guess that makes sense. I can't wait to get the thing built. It's been sat here on my desk since Christmas day. I've never ran an ansmann car before so I'm looking forward to it a lot!

If this one turns out ok, I'm hoping to get my grubby mits on the X4SC if I can find a UK dealer that's got one in stock :)
