not sure about 'pig to find' but this is one of the most expensive cars I've ever seen to buy spares for sadly. I really liked the car and enjoyed racing it - but at that time, spare graphite shock towers were around 21quid (had to buy both front and rear together) and a new shell was 28 quid... :wtf:

Giles- You would be better of buying my D4:D

When i had my BC ages ago i was constantly breaking it, especially front bulkheads. You may be better of buying an old bj4 non worlds or even a xx4 as spares are more easy to find, A bit more expensive but you could probably pick one up of here or ebay if you wait.

Ryan's right Giles, you would be better off with his D4, if only you could get it off him for 28 quid ! D4 looks solid as a tank.

Jordan ran Jimmy's old special for a season, we did break a few shock towers, bulkheads (particualy troublesome) and wishbones, alway a problem to find spare parts "on the day" even then, he now much prefers the Zx-5, not only stronger but nicer to drive, cheap spares and low second hand value would make for a good buy. With the B44 just coming onto the market at £220ish recon there will be a glut of secondhand 4 wheel drives on the market.

The plastic parts seemed more brittle or perhaps his driving has improved, let us know what you decide. Mick

I was only looking qat a cheapy to see if I liked 4wd but the price is £40+ and I'm still out bid .

I may get into 4wd next year but until I can run it at newbury there's little point as I'll get little practice.

I'll ask the wench if she's feeling generous

if you want a cheap route into 4wd then the ZX5 is a good bet. Second hand they are pretty cheap, even with all the mods. spares are also easy to get and cheap.
