X12 rotor sizes

Does anyone have experiences or knowledge with different size rotors in the X12 motors. Seems to be many different sizes available - 12mm, 12.25mm, 12.5mm, 13mm and the 13mm team rotor. Just wondering what are the pros and cons of going larger or smaller. Idealy I'd like to reduce torque and operating temps but got a feeling that it's impossible to get those 2 things together as there at the opposite ends of the spread. Am I right here?
