AECAR (Spanish Association of RC Cars Drivers) will propose this weekend Spain at the EFRA meeting to organice this event.

The circuit is in the Canary Islands (west of Africa, south of Europe).

What do you think about this?

Jimmy, are you ready for the spanish sun?

That would be relaly nice. I would love it there.

But again the only issue there may be is location some people like catch a ferry to main land europe and drive due to the amount of kit they have. I wouldnt like to have to excess bagage on my racing kit i take so much to a club night. Im defently considering the euro's next year for a bit of fun.

Sounds great to me! :) Not been to spain for years.
Ash, going on your own I think would be a struggle to get all your gear there - I went with vicky and she had all the clothes whilst I had all the racing gear in a hauler - so no excess baggage.
Maybe just don't change your clothes for the week?

Or wear all your cloths on the plane haha.

Im sure i could find a pit bitch. How do you qualify for the euro's im not sure if i would unless i get my act together im sure i would come last but i would go the exsperiance.

But im defently loving the canary islands i think it would be relaly nice place to have it.

Just one advice to you all:

Do not step or get laid on the black sand after 10 am, you'll get a nice burn. HAHAHAHA

Another interesting info... there's almost no taxes at Canary Islands

Any of you will remember about racing after that?

It can be difficult to fly to a race meeting, the luggage allowance from the UK is being lowered to 23 kilos, or so I was told when going to Japan, if R/C does not come under a "sporting equipment" getting all your race gear in 23kg will be tough!!! Lets hope we can get it sorted, the Euro's is a great event!!!!!!:D I had thought about driving as I live 15 miles from Dover.,.....,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.

I went to the 12th euros in Gran Canaria a few years ago and it was great

there were a few observations made in the build up and on the way to the event that are quite interesting:

it was as cheep to take another person as it was to pay for excess baggage hence lots of wives/girlfriends. it was amasing how many brownie points a holiday in the sun will get despite the reason for the holiday being toy cars and half the luggage is already gone with toy car stuff.

also with 20+ people all booking onto the same flight at the airport after the first couple of people they gave up on the baggage allowance, the trick was to have 1 person hand over all the tickets and passports then just keep loading the bags on without giving them time to think.

Leave it to Ian to have a solution!!!! Just keep your feet safe and we will see you at next year's Euro's!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good idea though!!!!!! :D
