I have a tourer and a 12th but currently only race 10th off road. Wouldn't mind getting somet silly like a 8th scale buggy one day but dont really have the time at the mo.
I've got a Thunder Tiger S3 1/8th Rallycross car that I use to race a lot, put I've gone off it now, mainly because to do any big meetings you need someone to help pit for you. Thats why I'm giving electric off road a go now. Also got a 1/12th circuit car (Calandra Carpet Knife) which I love, such high speed and so much grip. But I only really do that during the winter.

I used to race at the local club in high wycombe,
but there is a national event held fairly regularly now, have a look at www.uk-microrc.co.uk for details on the 'micro challenge'
the last one was a really good event

Currently only racing off road electrics now, but in my past, I have raced:
1/12 carpet electric
1/12 asphalt electric
1/10 pan car carpet electric
1/10 electric touring car
1/10 gas touring car
1/10 electric drag racing
1/10 electric dirt oval
1/10 gas dirt oval
1/8 gas dirt oval
1/10 asphalt oval (superspeedway)
1/10 carpet oval
1/8 gas 2wd & 4wd asphalt road race
I'm sure there are others I have forgotten about. I've been playing with these silly cars since 1983, so at one point or another, I have owned or raced just about everything that isn't a truck. Tonight's my first time with one of those. ;)

i've tried 1/10th trucks, but it was in the days of 1700 scrc's so very difficult to last 5mins on grass, thus a real turn off. also the class died a couple of years later just as higher MAH cell started to be released.
i personally think 1/10th off road is the best class for cost, competition and type of events you can have (i.e. you can take an off road car on tarmac.....but you cant take a competition tourer off road!)
I race indoor 10th scale, but have
1-10th Nitro Car On road( HPI R40)
Will be getting a B4
in the last 2 months I have had a Corally RDX( which I am keeping)mini-t, RC18T, FT TC4, Team TC4 :D ( I sell cars quick)

I have a Schumacher MI2 which I race over the winter but buggy is the one for me. Had a go at 8th off road enjoyed it but couldnt get on with the engine (or it couldnt get on with me).
Mainly I race 10th offroad... but also have a crack at 12th scale over the Winter... its a good laugh!
Also have a Mission but don't race it very often.

I currently race 1/10 electric offroad in the summer, 1/12 in the winter and touring cars at my local club.
I have to say offroad is my favourite class mainly due to the attitude and friendliness of the people but also due to the organisation and variety of tracks and surfaces we race on.
I have raced the 1/10th nitro tourers but this was sacked off after 1 year due to the incompetance of the organisers and morons of drivers.
I would love a go at 1/8 rallyX but sadly there aren't enough weekends

Yeah I heard that TC's can be a bit like 'dont look at my setup' !
Spencer Mulcahy

Probably because you have to have a tc set up just right for it to work where with a buggy you can get away with it not being perfect. Which doesnt mean they should be so secretive I have never had problems with getting setups from people with my tc but I think they know that I wont win with a good setup :D :D

Not just the setup issue but also at one meeting a driver changed crystal without asking at race control. Turned his radio on without the frequency peg costing another driver their last qual run. But because they are on the section comitee weren't disqualified as stated in the rules and didn't even loose their time.
The best bit was for putting in a complaint to the race director the driver whose race was ruined and all the people who he pitted and stuck up for him were threatened with being disqualified from the series for argueing against a comitee member.
