Does anybody know how to setup/programme this ESC please? It's the stock ESC that's found in the brushed rtr Mad rat.
Reverse takes about 4 seconds to kick in, and there the car doesn't brake.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I have the same symptoms on my sons car plus it only seems to get about half the speed it used to. When the battery is connected press full speed on the transmitter then back to off then full reverse. This used to work but not any more??

Is this the ESC that has no set-up button on the top? If so, you simply plug it in, go full throttle then full reverse on the transmitter and that's it. But if i remember right, you need to do this every time you switch it on.

Hi Thomj; This one of mine has got a grey button on it, so I presume all stock Mad rat Sirius se esc's are the same.

As the Ansmann ESC's are re-branded Mtronics ones id assume the manual and set-up sheet was the same. Here's a ink to an Mtronics manual http://www.mtroniks.net/resources/VIPERInstructionsheet_2.pdf Hope his helps.

w824; Is yours the 40Mhz Version, or the 2.4Ghz one? I'm thinking that they might of only just introduced the " Grey button " setup ESC in the recent Mad rat rtr. This is the 2.4Ghz version btw.

Damselfly is correct, the newer version now have the set-up button like the original esc did, but Ansmann did have a phase of running esc's with no set-up button.

To program it you simply turned your transmitter on, then plug the car battery in, then on the transmitter go to full throttle, then straight to reverse and back to neutral.

You basically had to re set-up the esc each time you used it. It was rubbish and thats why the newer cars have done away with it and brought back the button. Hope this helps.
