I bought 2 packs of these (male/female inc. in each) Assuming the gold connectors were all the same length i proceeded to solder them up but only 2 of the 4 would 'click' home in the connector blocks. i measured the length of all 4 & found 2 were 19.5mm long & the other 2 to be 20.5mm long, only the longer ones would push home in the block. I opened the 2nd pack i'd bought & found the same ie, 2 x 19.5mm & 2 x 20.5mm. I had to use to longer ones from the 2nd pack to replace the 2 short ones i'd already soldered to complete the job. I now have 4 x 19.5mm gold connectors, which by rights aren't going to work.
I can't find anything in the leaflet regarding different length connectors so either, a) i've done something wrong b) i've been very unlucky & have managed to purchase to seperate packs, both with the same issue !
Any ideas plz ?

did you try the shorter 1s in all 4 ports? i would have thought it would be long for 1 side and short for the other

By chance i'd originally soldered the short one to the black wire on the male end & a long one to the black wire on the female end & the short one wouldn't click into place & therefore when i connected the blocks together the short one got pushed back out. I'd aslo (by chance) done the same with the red wires & again the shorter of the 2 connectors popped out when i connected the block up.
Had i used all 4 short (19.5mm) connectors, none of them would have clicked home in either block & when joining the blocks together i'm sure all 4 connectors would have just popped back out of the blocks.
You'd think it would say something regarding different length connectors in the supplied instruction leaflet ??

I don't think length is mentioned in the instructions, but they do say that the terminals stamped 'A' are for the male connector and those stamped 'B' are for the female connector. Having just looked at some the 'A' terminals are slightly longer.
Looking at your photo it looks like they are 4 short 'B' terminals. You can just about see 'B' on the bottom left one, I assume that on the other 3 it is on the other side unless they've been manufactured wrong.
I don't know why you couldn't get the short ones into either the male or female, but they should have clicked into the female connector. Another thing is to make sure you soldered to the right side of the terminal, solder on top of the 'WIRE SIDE' stamp. If you soldered to the right side of all 4 terminals, the slightly longer 'A' terminals should click into the male side and the slightly shorter 'B' terminals click into the female connector.
You can get away with pulling them back out of the connector, if you wanted to try the B's in the female again. They take a fairly firm shove to get them to click. If that doesn't work perhaps there's something wrong with yours.

Yup, my mistake. Didn't read the bit about pins marked 'A' & 'B' d'oh !
Now sorted ie, pins A removed from the female & replaced with B's.
They don't really 'click' into place though i have to say, more of a gentle tap in with a small screwdriver & hammer.
Also wish i'd looked at my new charger more carefully as i didn't realise it comes with a range of connectors including the traxxas ones. Typically i'd already decided (at random) to put the female on the ESC & the male on the battery only to find the charger has a traxxas male connector fitted !
Oh well, yer live & learn, lol.
You might want to put serious thought into swapping the connectors on the battery to the female one.
Batteries should always have a female connector on them, makes it much harder to short them out and damage the battery (or if it's a LiPo, burn your house down!!!!!!!!)

Ok, i'll consider that. Might depend on whether or not i can now get the pins out of the female block though.
I assume this would be the only reason ? I'm not running lipo's but i take your point :)
