i would look at about 4000-5000 more 45C or 50C if your racing though

I would love to see a madrat handle a three cell lipo. Definatly need some wheelie bars

To be fair I doubt a three cell lipo would fit. Pretty sure it would be too tall to fit under the battery strap.

I dont get whats all the fuss about hi capacity and hi discharge for offroad. I run he inexpensive turnigy lipos form HK and can win with them. They have all the power I need right to the end of the race too.

I am with you notme. I run old Team orion cells (35C I think) and I prefer to run them in my 2wd than the 50C 5300s LRPS I own. More control through the corners and still enough zip to clear the jumps.

So the battery's from hong kong what sort of compacity are they and what c are they as I'm going to order some the weekend, literally it's just to go racing on a Thursday night and that's all I'm not doing regionals or any thing like that so cheaper the better but still want to be slightly competitive ;)

Yes, just beware of the 5000mah ones, I bought one of those and its a very tight fit. Also had to notch the webbing in the front of the tray as the thick wires on those come out the front and are a pain to deal with, little heavy too.
A little tip; the 4000's (in the link I posted) have quite a gap where the wires go in the case. I used some shoe goo to fill it to prevent excess dirt getting in, also keeps the balance wires from flexing too much and fraying. If you dont have shoe goo, silicone will work.

This flux runs two of those turnigy's. That thing weighs 50 ton and goes from nothing to very fast pretty quick :S and then falls from the sky like and hits the ground like a freight train going past. So they have been pretty well tested out in that, still going strong too http://www.vimeo.com/16212660

Divide the capacity by 1000, e.g. 4000mah = 4a, 5000mah = 5a

Just for info; I bought this from eBay from " powerpeak " in the UK. Was delivered next day and fits in the Mad Rat no problem. I'm very happy with the performance.
They can be obtained from hobbyking for less, but I wasn't in the mood for waiting weeks for delivery.
