Sorry for yellow rear wheels - they were on for quite long time and I'm damn too lazy to change them for photos :D

Uhm it's been done with racing on dirt in mind. I love my std cougar just want to try how would it handle with motor in rear. I don't really have issues with gearbox ;)
To how does it go - it's been finished about 4 hours ago so it has zero runtime. It will be ran next week in Austria at Carpetfun. So we will see.

Haha, but I really like my Cougar, got one of the first kits that were released and had only few outer gears stripped, inner gears are still original.
Anyway I've got some ideas I want to try no matter if my car I've got works well. I wanted to make own mid motor conversion 2 years ago. Managed to get sweet X6 before I got to making it, but I still couldn't resist. This was result http://oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27655 Actually current conversion uses some parts from previous car.
All in all I'm going to continue racing my std Cougar. I just want to try how will work amazing Cougar front end with one of the most stable rear ends I tried with rear motored car.

Well chassis didn't survive beating in Austria. It broke where rear pivot blocks are screwed as there was hole under gearbox.
Anyway it seemed to jump very nicely and was stable in the air. I still preferred my Cougar. Carpet wasn't high grip and it lost rear end when you tried to brake very hard at the end of the straight.
Now I'll be considering if I want to make another chassis for summer. I've proven that this concept works very well and it handled nicely without much setup work (well basically none :D). I call it success
