Hi,
I know the SXIII will not be out for a few months yet (according to Schumacher) but can any SXII drivers tell from the pictures of the SXIII if it is going to be the same to drive as SXII?
Some have said the SXII is a 'lively' car and hard to keep under control on rough tracks? I don't know, I've never driven one? Some say it's a car that you have to keep on top of?
Do you guys think the SXIII will be the same? is a 'twitchy' car something Schumacher is always aiming for rather than smooth and stable??
I have my name down for an SXIII.
Thanks.

The SX3 is easier to drive than the SX/2. The idea behind the car is to settle down the 'lively' rear end. It can still be made as aggressive as you like, but in standard trim it is a much more neutral car.

The pro version comes with big bore shocks and carbon fibre chassis and top deck, the S1 handles better I find because it offers more flex, but the downside is it doesnt come with big bore shocks. (as far as I am aware) :)

According to Schumacher, http://www.racing-cars.com/pp/Car_Showroom/CAT_SX3.html
The spec's are the same except the CF is S1 material, so it should still have Big Bore shocks

Right, I may be wrong but... With the SXIII having components fixed to the center of the chassis, does this mean that this will sacrifice some of the flex in the chassis? I would have thought with the fixings moving to the center of the chassis it would make it a tad more rigid
Am I wrong? lol

I really don't think I'd worry about that tbh. :woot:

I wouldn't normally but having switched to the S1 chassis on my SXII I was amazed at what difference it made to how the car handled and felt

I have the SXIII in my hands at the toy fair and must say the carbon version is very stiff and have no flex like the SXII in carbon version, the SXIII is more like the B44.1 and Tamiya.

Be interesting to see what the flex is like on the S1 version :eh?:
