Fitting bearings

What do folks use to fix bearings into wheels these days?

We used to use a whiff of bearing lock BITD,is this still the script?

I use a specialist tool called a "thumb". I first locate the bearing into its correct position then use the "thumb" to press it in with:D

I've got that far,but then when I turn the wheel over to fit the other side,
the one I've just fitted with said tool(thumb)bloody well falls out(cack).

Looks like oldskool bearing lock still holds sway then.

never heard of anyone lockin bearings in??? been racin 25 years and never need to do that

Bearing Lock is a pink viscous liquid similar to Stud/Thread lock,though often
stud can be green,thread more blueish.

We used to use just a smear of bearing lock in the housings to "fix" the bearings in place if they were a loose fit(depending on whose bearings you had bought).

At the engineering firm I used to work for,we used stud lock for studs,
thread lock for threads and,yes,you've guessed it,bearing lock for bearings
(especially in stainless steel/duplex/super duplex materials).

Some bearing/stud/thread lock isn't suitable for use on any type of plastics,some is.
I wondered what folks use to "fix" loose bearings into their housings you see.

I've never used any or heard of anybody using any on r/c cars. Do any cars on the market have bearings that fall out, I cant say it's a problem I've ever encountered.

If upgrading from bushings the bushings vibrate and wear away at what should house the bearing!

I'm using JE Spares supplied bearings in JC Racing wheels and they're loose.

Loose enough to fall out when I put a bearing in one side of the wheel and
turn it over to fit the other side(they are the correct size bearings).

Complain, that doesnt sound right. As Daz says, the useful thumb is all you should need

I suppose so although I would of expected the bearing to spin a lot free'er than the bearing spinning in the housing. Having said that I've never had them so lose that they'll fall out themselves.
