Hi, got a new sirius 12 esc and an lrp gt-4 21x2 motor. have gone through the set up procedures and have managed to get it working. Only thing is when i squeeze the trigger nowt happens for a good four-five seconds, then i can here the esc making that noise it makes and gradually the car starts to pull away and build up speed. Now if i let go of the trigger the car brakes immediately and if try to go again i have to wait all over again. On the other hand reverse is instant and a whole lot slower so i think i have all the wiresthe right way round.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards

Hi,
The delay is normally associated with reverse and is perfectly normal. Forward throttle is instantaneous.
Have you got a " reverse function " switch on your transmitter? You need to flick that switch so that the ESC functions normally.

I have got this function but when i do this i have to push the trigger away from me to go forward. which feels a bit strange . the other thing i have tried isto change the wires to the motor over,but this surely cannot be right. Also in the current setup reverse seems slower than the slow to build up forward function.
cheers for the reply.

Are you sure you programmed your ESC properly?
Here is the setup routine for your ESC;
1- Press your ESC setup button while the Led's are flashing. When the button is pressed, the neutral setting will be stored.
2- the Green Led will now light, showing that the ESC is ready to accept the full forward speed setting
3- now press the trigger control to where you want full forward to be
4- now move the trigger back to the neutral position, and the ESC will store the full forward setting
5- the Red Led will now light showing that it's ready to accept your brake/full reverse setting.
6- move the trigger to full reverse/brake
7- move the trigger back to neutral, and the ESC is all set up.
You may of done this process pressing the trigger in reverse for the fwd setting, and vice versa.
Your ESC appears to working properly otherwise.
