Don't know what 'having a bubble' means - how many sets would you take then?

Shopping on Sunday, the price us men have to pay ;)
We're only racing 4wd on the Sunday to leave Saturday free for some Parisian socialising. By sheer coincidence the Le Man GT team my bro works for are in Paris the same weekend so beers all round..now I have a vision of missing the days racing due to hangover

Nobody races here because there is no RC club on this sport hall, no home advantage here.
Last year I used 2 sets on the rear of each of my cars and ran the same set on front (2wd : staggered - 4wd : minipin) all day long.
I used cut and shut on 4wd but it is not allowed any more. You can still cut the pins, I cut the outside rows on front 4wd.

Cheers Gayo, so it doesn't sound like I'm 'having a bubble' with my one set after all.
Can't wait for this event, should be a cracker.

I'm sure you can do really well with only one set of tyres. On a 100% carpet track, used Minipins are still very fast and often easier to drive, less edgy. The problem is you will probably have to change your setups as the tyres wear; I believe that's why many people change tyres at every round : to always have the same reactions round after round.
On another hand, consider the price of one set of wheels vs. traveling, hostel, food etc. It's not that much.
I found that 2 sets of tyres is an happy medium as the settings won't drift as much and the tyres will have still enough life on for other runs, club meetings, etc.
Can't wait too ! ;) See you here.
