I fully ballraced my Mad Rat this evening which involved opening the ball diff. Although i've inserted my diff gear back into the transmission housing, does it matter which way it's put back in? In other words, does it matter if I have my diff outdrive with the screw on the left hand wheel side or the Right hand side. Hope this makes sense.
By looking at the manual it was difficult to work out.
Thanks in advance.

If you put the screw on the left hand side, opposite the slipper, then in normal running, the diff screw will remain tight. However,if you have it on the slipper side,it will begin to slacken off, unless you were using a left hand theaded bolt.

I have my diff screw on the motor side, so that's good.
Also studied the manual but it wasn't too clear. On closer inspectionof image 11, page 6 it's hard to see, but you can see the nut retainer in the outdrive.
Thanks again chaps.
