We've had the date on our calander for a while now hoping to get a venue, and today I can confirm it will be going ahead over the weekend of 5/6 March.

So who fancies racing 2wd (Saturday) & 4wd (Sunday) in probably the biggest race hall in Scotland. We may well lay 2 tracks, both larger than we used for last years Scottish Carpet Championships (Dunfermline). One track will be carpet for touring cars and Mardave, the second will be multi surface for off road. And the hall is so large, we'll pitting in the same building as well.

I'll post more details up later, what I need now is to know from everyone who's interested in playing

I would, where is it?

Mr Eccleston

It's just North of Dunfermline, about 10 minutes in car.

Here's the location

http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&cp=tbk472gqc7cw&lvl=16&dir=0&sty=b&sp=Point.tbmtjjgqxc47_NORA%20Entrance_Drive%20up%2 0farm%20track%2C%20motor%20x%20track%20will%20be%2 0on%20right%2C%20keep%20going%2C%20and%20just%20be fore%20bridge%20over%20A92%20our%20track%20is%20on %20the%20right.___~Point.tbk19xgqbwmx_Race%20Venue ____&eo=0&where1=Kelty%2C%20Fife&q=kelty

I'm currently thinking Touring Cars any motor on Saturday, Mardaves (brushed & brushless) and off road 2wd.

Sunday would be Touring cars 13.5, Mardaves (brushed & brushless) and off road 4wd.

I'm open to suggestions, as long as the majority are happy, I'm guessing most of the discussion will be TC racers and motor choice.

Cost will be £10 for your first days racing, and if you want to enter the 2nd day it's £5.

Trophies for first 3 in all finals.

Derek,
Is this Dunfermline High School where the indoor GP is normally held ?

Mr Eccleston

No, this is out in the country a bit and 3 times the size of the Dunfermline High School hall.

No, this is out in the country a bit and 3 times the size of the Dunfermline High School hall.

this venue is possibly the best scotland will ever see for an indoor venue . This is based on an ex-ministry storage depot converted into an industrial estate. IT IS HUGE :o

this is also one of the easiest to reach places as it is only 5minutes from a90 , turning off at kelty turn-off. So is ideal for non locals
will post couple of pics of inside this place 2moro:thumbsup:

what is the rules reguarding mardave brushed

Brushed speedo less than £60 (I think) and mardave g2 silver can motor. Think that's about it!

Derek just bought the durango off the site, so if I get my finger out I should be able to race on 5/6th!

Let you know how it goes

I've uploaded the entry form and rules at

http://www.indoorgrandprix.co.uk/

Basically Saturday is TC any motor with rubber tyres/additive or foams without, Mardave brushed and brushless, and 2wd off road.
Sunday will be TC with 13.5 rubber tyre/additive only, Mardave brushed and brushless, and 4wd off road. If I get enough interest I will also run TC with 10.5 (no timing).

£10 for one day, £15 for two.

If you still have any questions let me know.

Derek.

Entries not bad, I have updated those that I have so far on the club site. There are a lot of off road guess said they plan to race, but I don't have details so they are not entered. I will bring along the pc on sunday and get entries.

There will be a number of mardave entries on Sunday night, not sure about touring cars though.

We may have some drivers up from down south as well.

Derek, after a good run with the car yesterday the speedo decided to pack up last night in the final. Spoke with JE Spares today and it won't be back up for the weekend so unfortunately I won't be able to join the iGP

I could probably loan you a speedo if you like? It would'nt be the best but it would get you racing. It's a nosram matrix evolution.
Let me know and i will bring it with me.
