1st: what diameter are the springs on the xpro/mad rat shocks.
2nd : what length are the front/rear shocks.
3rd : are the shocks with the ally cap in the MR kit any good, as i know the plastic rtr shocks have probs with the cap coming off.
4th apart from the turnbuckles, bearings & possibly the shocks (depending on the answers to No3) is there any other bits that are essential upgrades.
5 :is the plastics used in the XPRO lots better than the kit MR.
6 do the ribbed front tyres work outside on dirt or astro
7 :does the middle idler gear need replacing if running an 8.5t bl motor or 10t double brushed
thanks in advance:thumbsup:

1.. Losi springs fit, i dont have madrat springs to measure
2.. Again, i dont have shocks to measure
3.. Im 99%sure the shocks DONT come with ally caps, they didnt when i got mine a while ago...
4.. Bearings, turnbuckles, shocks and id say some ceramic diff balls..
5.. Pretty sure its the same stuff? MR plastic is fine though..
6.. Didnt try them but they seem OK on carpet for a guy at our club but not the best..
7.. Touch wood mines been fine, ive run it with a 6.5 for quite a while without problems...
Hope that helps

Firstly if you want a rtr for havin a bask then the MR is fine and smoe upgrades over time will be helpful.
If you're going racing then the Pro is a must. The shocks are really good infact I have NO idea what people are thinking when the change to any other brand of shock.
The AR (Team C) springs are really good or Kyosho springs also fit (correctly) Losi springs are too big they'll work :p but not ideal.
Not sure if the plastics are different I've only ever owned a Pro kit.
Buy suitable rubber for your track don't rely on the kit ones being anything other than long wearing for bashing
Idler is fine when it's time to replace it get the one for the HPI blitz.
