Hello I am new owner of a tamyia 502x I wonder if parts from the 501 fit in this car? such as gearbox and suspension arms?
And then I wonder if the car works fine as it comes? or you have to upgrade a lot more to get the full optimized?

501 wishbones, hubs and caster's fit straight on. Also, the car is planted straight out of the box. Follow Lee's set-up guide here and you cant go wrong: http://www.trfracing.co.uk/page_1291636275605.html

The 7 digit parts for 502 specific parts havent actually been released yet. I have been told that they are due with most HK suppliers next week.

The Dilemma I have is whether this will be better than the 511.

I know it's early days but complaints about lack of steering, the negatives of shaft driven cars and hot motors (although brushless do have less rotational mass) kinda put me off.

In contrast All I have heard about the 511 is praise and it's shown it's ability (or at least it's potential to keep up with Lee's ability) by winning the euros.

I do want a new buggy, but I can't decide on the 511 or the 502 to replace my 501x. If I had a buggy that could steer like my tc I would be happy (I like my cars to be twitchy, a trait that tamiya tc's have)

I can honestly say that the TRF502X is awesome straight out the box. I really can't say anything negative towards the car except i'm struggling for parts untill there readily available next week. I don't seem to suffer the lack of steering that keeps getting brought up, then again that's maybe just me. If you follow Lee's set up as Jamie states you'll be sorted. Again i think the car's superb, excellent jumper and handling.
Hope this helps m8,
Scotty....

Just wanted to let you guys know hoe the 502X felt on my track. I race on relatively loose dirt and tried the 502X on my hometrack last weekend. I took my normal setup from my DB01R and it went well from the beginning on. Lots of grip (i raced JConcepts Goose Bumps, perfect for loose dirt) and found the car to be great balanced. Jumps are no problem and i found the car to be a little bit more nervous on the rear but this may be down to the yellow springs used instead of red ones on my DB01R.
All in all i must say i never drove a car that went that well on the first run. In comparison to the DB01R i found it to be a little more nervous but this is something that could be of advantage in some cases. I am sure i will be even faster than with my DB01R after a few runs when i am used to the (slightly) different handling compared to my DB01R.
What are your experiences with the cars? Thereīs not much to read about it and i donīt understand why since i find it a wonderful kit! Does everyone drive Durango
Oh well i have one too....

Oh and if you wonder where the spares are... i donīt know either. I never had this case before that it took so long to get some important spares for a TRF kit. I am sure though they will arrive at major shops in some weeks.

I know about Modellbau Seidel, it will take some time until they have them in stock. They have just been listed but have never been in stock before. They are just preparing for their spares that will arrive in the future.
