instead of rewriting it all Ill cut + paste the email I wrote
I went to connect it and it was on nimh not lipo calibrated it to my TX and tested a little that it worked.
The motor slowly turned and then stopped working.
I then saw that it was on nimh so I changed it to lipo turned it on and as I gave it a little gas to see if it worked the capacitor sparked and smoked then caught fire.
Is this common?
What is the problem?
I have ordered another capacitor then thought about contacting you.(horizon i USA)
Would it be something wrong with the capacitors that would make it do that?
Will replacing it make it work?
Can I run it the esc (well test it so I know the combo works) without the capacitor?
Is this caused by something else?
Your help is appreciated
Besides resoldering the motor to my LRP then I can see if its the motor but how can I test if its the ESC thats the problem?
having now taken the shrink wrap off I saw that one of the capacitors legs was broken could this have been the problem? Or was this caused in the fire?
