Hi Guys....
Need some help with an LRP brushless system.
As the title say's it's stuttering badly. I've done some fault finding and I'm now sure that I've got dead 'sector' (is that the right word?) one of the three sensors or coils is not working.
I've had a look behind the end cap so that I can see the PCB, something which concerns me is that I think one of the solder connections on the PCB has been 'forgotten about'.
I need someone with an X11 who isn't afraid to remove the end cap to compare something for me...
With the three power cables pointing up, looking at the back of the motor with the end cap removed.....
There are two surface mounted caps labelled C3 and C2 (left to right).
Below them and just above the connector for the Sensor Cable are two PCB solder points. On my motor, the right hand side one is not soldered although the left one is. I know that it's a through PCB connection but it's not been filled so shouldn't work.
The equal and opposite pairs of solder points in the remaining two 'sectors' are all soldered which is what leads me to think that this one's been forgotten about off.
I know that manufacturing mistakes like this are rare which is why I'd like someone to confirm if this is the way it's supposed to be.....
Anyone care to take the cap of thier X11 (or Nosram equivalent?)
Cheers
Mart
