about 2 weeks for everything to arrive, buts its finally built. few adjustments needed to steering, and yet to fit all the electrics & slipper.. but here it is :)

electrics and slipper clutch now in. its all set to go :D

You might want to get some deans/corally connectors fitted m8.The tamiya plugs tend to heat up and melt together.

really? your the 2nd person to tell me that.. although i never had a problem several years ago.. but then that was all stock. i'll look into it ;)

I melted Tamiya connectors together in about 1991 on a stock motor, 1500mah cells and a 2wd car. If would be very wise to get rid IMHO.

Definitely or corallies, you can insulate the wires on the battery leads with the silicone rubbers from the motor wires when using corallies, as I would also recommend you direct solder them to the motor for the same reasons.

Its looking Gr8 though and I presume you have not had the problems some have with the chassis holes etc. mentioned in the 3Racing forum.
(I assume it is a 3Racing chassis)

Let us know how it performs when you have tested it out.:)

it is a 3racing chassis. what problems with holes? :confused:

According to their forum the first batches had a few holes that were not quite in the right position and threaded or countersunk from what I can remember; obviously yours is the later corrected one if you have had no probs with it.

old thread bumpage but meh.. my cars had the final finishing touches done.. namely wheels / tyres and the shell (thanks to j miller for that) :)

great! but sadly as soon as you crash upside down from a jump the front shock tower will splinter and crack and the so called "aluminium" brace holding the shock tower will bend by 30 degrees as you can see i have been there done that and wasted 15 quid in the process.....

My suggestion is to use the plastic shock tower even if it is ubber flexible and simply live with the added flex but keep everything else carbon fibre and NOTHING WILL EVER BREAK and what an amazing shell you have there... painted really well also... damn i envy you

i had A few crashes with that shock tower with no problems. If the knuckles are 3 racing ones chuck them now or you will get really upset!!! the square or 5stars or yeah knuckles have got to be better.

A few of my DF-03 learnings.............

I even went for the 'Bling' square driveshafts, but twisted the end off one.

The topcad gear cover makes an excellent heat sink.

the 3 racing steel outdrives apeared to be made of metallic toffee.

Stock Durga is 100 million times better than a totally carbon alloy dog turd.
