Mikey,
The drop down is the most visual and obvious difference. Although the Pro also comes with the parts necessary to fit the wheel in the non drop position - and, just like the DX3R, you can build it to be either Left Handed or Right Handed.
Some nice touches - 2 size grips included, firmware upgradeable via SD cardslot, 50 model memory, backlit screen.
Vibration timer and alert - you can program a target lap time and it will count down and vibrate every time it reaches 0

Some neat mixing capabilities and ABS / TC built in (if you want to activate it)

Telemetry capable

Servo speed can be turned down if need be.

Plus all the normal DX3R functions

I was concerned that I might not feel comfortable with the drop down after using my DX3R for 3 years - but I couldn't have been more wrong.

They've also change the actual steerwheel slightly and improved the spring resistance. The result is that the new one is much more tactile with nicely weighted spring tension.

The Pro has some very nice touches and features - if you use any of them then it makes compelling sense - but if not, then there is still nothing wrong with the DX3R.

HTH

Cheers :)

Already added the larger grip etc.

Mmm think I'll stick with what I have for the mo, I understand the seperate drop down parts etc avaliable, but I assume won't change the spring tension you are refering too.

I have to say, I've never really been a fan of the Spektrum's feel and finish, but the DX3R has totally surprised me, it really does feel good to hold and the features are great too, accessing menus e.t.c. is all a doddle too!

Hats off to them on this one.

Hmmmm tempted especially with the comments about the feel. I cant really use a radio without a low wheel so thats another bonus. The old sanwa is tired an needs burying in the gaeden really :)

Looking at trying the drop down, but it's about £38. So think sell DX3R and upgrade.

Already have the optional grip etc.
