AE SC10 options?

Hi chaps, I have a SC10 on the way. It's kit STD and wondering what options to buy for it?

I have heard Rpm bumper is essential?

Any other good bits to get?

Shock set up would be good too

This is how I'm going to start with mine when I get chance to play with it properly...

(I know it doesn't say so on the setup sheet but the rear springs are silver and the rear shocks are on an extra drilled 4th inner hole on the tower)

All you need is a ball diff (std B4) and JConcepts Raptor and you've dialled :thumbsup:

Thanks Rich, I take it I'll need the B4.1 balldiff as SC10 uses metric bearings?

I have a spare B4 ball diff so let me know how I can get it installed.

I'm thinking T4 CVDs too

Sorry yes you'll need the 4.1 diff outdrives unless you use the older gearbox case + bearings :blush:

i had the rtr version all i aded were Ft shocks and CVD's, along with an alloy front pin brace

i now have a FT, both got some hard hits and the bumpers were fine

TBH they are pretty tough, the plastics flex really well, i planning to retro fit a set of losi shocks on mine tomorrow, easy to keep one set of springs between buggy n SCT :thumbsup: along with some titanium turn buckles, RPM ball joints RadshapeRC do a quality chassis plate in a brushed alloy effect (well worth the money) just to protect the front end and an underbody if you outside :woot:
Mark ya might wanna have a look at tyres too, Kourse Kings work really well, hard wearing too, proving popular!! reasonable price too!

As I have a spare B4. I am going to bolt the whole gearbox and T plate so I have a ball diff and V2 slipper ready to go, this should work ok me thinks?

I'm going to also get the T4 Cvd bones so I can convert my B4 Cvds

Then she should be ready to race!

Are you guys adding much weight in the car? If so how much and where? I read the Yanks on rctech are putting 3oz in front on the battery tray.

No need to change the T-plate, the 'ball diff' box fits just fine into the SC10 as it is!

If they weren't in the kit, the rear toe blocks are a nice tuning option, especially when you get on a dirt track!

The stock battery brace doesn't give you much options on where to put your packs, how ever, it is possible to modify it with a dremel ;) This allows you to position the pack anywhere with in the tray area, alternate is to buy the spangley FT carbon brace :)

You can race it straight from the box.only bits to make it more

Iv been doing a bit of work on my SC10, new losi ball links, ball raced steering and bleeder shock caps, T4 cvds

Thanks for the set up Rich my truck is now the same except front springs in Blue.

I have put the lead behind the battery foam at the back, is anyone running any other weight in car car?

Also are the diff outdrives long enough from the B4 if I drop this box in it?

the ft has 30 deg ones kit has 25

I can't answer about the diff but yes the std kit does come with 25 deg blocks. 30 deg blocks usually have "30" written on the inside of the hub.

I only run lead where you have already put it, the car doesn't seem to need any more ....

Yep, you can drop a B4 or B4.1 gearbox straight in :)

Just to jump on your thread Mark - is there anywhere doing Kourse Kings mounted on rims with inserts?

The standard rims that came with my SC10 were shot when I got them and I've been running 1/8th wheels since, but would be nice to have pukka rims for outside so I don't get moaned at by the purists!

All my bits turned up today, going to use 3 deg rear arm mount from B4.1 and see how that goes!

I'm interested in Tyres for grass/dirt as few regionals will be on this surface. I have a tyre in mind for Epr! ;)
