I have wondered the same thing for years now.. I think the slot it covers might be used for certain balancing rigs, but I have never been able to confirm this.. I hope someone else knows..

B5 fills a slot in the bottom of the chassis, I guess it is needed for molding reasons rather than having a direct purpose.

I do CAD work for plastics and its not likely that the slot was created for molding reasons. The slot that part B5 fills definitely has a purpose. There must be someone who knows for sure.

Why not? Looks to me like they created the whole opening from below.

Touche my friend. I stand corrected..

I never noticed the exact location of the slot :blush: The mold would need to punch through for certain. Can't believe I never noticed that..

DB01 is my first rc and my only buggy rc ,so I have so many questions . thanks

As for 51273 i have never seem that part before. Donīt know if you can use it. The steering bridge seems too long for me but i have never tried it out on my DB01. I would recommend it tough as it is expensive and not really necessary. I would recommend the DB01 steering arms instead (54149). They take away some slop in the steering.

Part #51273 - 501X Front Hub Carrier is not a compatible part. The DB-01 uses part #51309 Front Castor Block..

Part #53972 - 501X Aluminum Steering Bridge is compatible and I have one installed in my Durga.. If I remember right the text "DB01 Chassis Cars (limit at the available position)" is there because you can only use 'one' of the 'three' available mounting positions on the Steering Bridge when you install the part in the DB-01..

Ah yes, normally you can choose between 3 points for the ballstuds to change the Ackermann effect and if you install it in the DB01 only one point can be used.

Tamiya said DB01R option parts included DB01 Slipper Clutch Set(#54018),but DB01R Slipper Clutch Set Spring is black ,it is not silver of the #54018,and Double Slipper Clutch Set( #54061) Spring is black.
I have a question for this situation .Does DB01R include #54061?

No it does not contain the double slipper clutch. The silver spring has been replaced by the black one.

No, the DB01R includes the normal Slipper, not the Double Slipper Clutch. I donīt find much need for the Double Slipper although some people tested it and found it to be good on some tracks. If you jump and land with back tires first then it would absorb that.

I paid the extra cash for the double slipper clutch and really like it compared to the single slipper. All the tracks I run on are loaded with jumps and I noticed very quickly that I had more control after landing a jump than with the single..

I have to say that the double is very overpriced compared to the single, so it may really not be worth the extra cash to get a slight improvement in control.

I can double check my instructions tonight for the belt tensioner, but my first guess would be either a missed step in the layshaft assembly (there are several shims that are specifically placed when you add the slipper clutch), or a screw was substituted in the belt tensioner assembly - I believe the inner screws were flatheads.

I'll check my build tonight and let you know.. I was able to fit the belt tensioner with the single and double slipper builds without any problems, so we will be able to solve the problem :)
