Have been running the mad monkey for the last three weeks at my local indoor club.
I transfered all the electrics from my rb5 to the m/m just to try it out.
I run a s/p 6.5 on 21/standard spur.All i have done from standard is xpro shocks, bearings,turnbuckles and a 40g lead weight under speedo.
Going by how the m/m is going at the moment elecrics will be staying in the m/m.Very impressed by it so far.Only mod i have done is to put a long cable tie through the inside hole of rear shock tower just to make it a bit stronger, also will be adding a strip of 2mm ally the width of the front kickup running the length of the chassis as i have done to my two boys x pros and had no t piece breakages and no front plate breakages (bombproof).
Any future mods i will post and let you know how they perform.
Cant wait to try outdoors but needs to warm up a bit first(old man old bones:))

Cheers for posting this, been looking at the m/m tonight as quite fancy having another go at 2wd and the price of this was very tempting.

Good to see what you've changed and importantly the lack of breakages that you've had in 3 weeks

Hi 4-cell-racer,
No pictures mate sorry. All it is i've joined a long cable tie between the two inner holes on the shock tower just to add a bit of rigidity to it.
A future mod will be to add a 2mm ally plate following the contour of the top part of shock tower motor side because there is a weak link where the top wing mount hole is positioned.I will take some pics of what i have done and post asap.

No worries

What I've done with mine is take the screws out (that go through the gearbox housing) and used a drill bit and drilled into the rear bulkhead and used a longer bolt to go from the to all the way down into the bulkhead! weather that will help i dont know??

I've yet to race my Monkey, hopefully this Friday @ club then Ardent on Sunday
