Guys, any thoughts on this prob with my new buggy.

New Novak Kinetic and Ballistic 6.5 motor mated with a new micro 3500 spektrum receiver. Sometimes turning it on there are no lights in the speedo but it powers receiver and servo just no throttle.

Turn off and next power up likely to be ok. When running its fine.

Only happens when plugged into receiver tried unplig from receiver tonight and speedo powers up fine.

Could it be some sort of clash between receiver and speedo, around powering up?? Will try with another receiver suspected speedo at first but is cant be as it only does it when plugged into receiver!

As I say when it does light up it runs sweet with no issues

The joys!

After further testing in the lab! Plugged in my older bigger Spektrum receiver and there is no problem!

If i unplug the fan/servo it is also fine. Suspect its a power issue to the receiver, Ross at MB suggests a power cap for the receiver hopefully this will solve it!

What's the constant discharge rate on your cells. Novak have always suggested a +30C to ensure you don't get a drop. I have never had a problem, but always had +30C cells. Friend of mine had exactly the same set up (servo, rx, motor, GTB ESC etc,) but with 20C cells and needed a power cap.

I currently run, 2 x GTB's, 1 x GTB2 and 1 x Kinetic, all with Spektrum receivers (DSM1 and 2, Micro and standard). Non require a power cap, but all vehicles run >30C cells.
