pete, where does the vintage fit into the timetable for good friday

peetbee
28-03-2011, 10:38 PM
Brian, as long as there are a minimum of 5 entries then vintage can run as their own class and get the same amount of run time as all the other cars! :woot:

Just to clarify that the vintage champs will not be part of this day, but if people want to run vintage then as long as there are minimum of 5 entries then there can be a vintage heat! (I got dates muddled!)

Quick question for anyone thinking of coming along on Good Friday.

How many of you will only be able to make it for the evening, like they do on a regular friday?

We're just trying figure out a backup plan to make sure you get fair track time, and a fair price!

Cheers

Excellent, looking forward to this now,

Just another plug for the event and to say that if you can't make the whole day then just turn up when you can and you'll be added to the appropriate heat (although I'd prefer to know you are coming in advance!)

I already have several people who are joiing in the fun from midday, 2pm onwards or just for the normal evening's racing!

The more the merrier (I think we're up to 6 heats at the moment).
NB - All lipos to be charged within Lipo Bag.

I got the go ahead from the boss to go out to play. I hope its not going to be a sunny day,cos i'll be tempted to go out on the bike!!!
If you guys want stuff, give me a buzz 07812 115259 at the shop and if i am out on the bike in the morning, i'll drop you bits up to the club.
I will be up later in the afternoon to race and i'll have all the spares with me.
Be nice to pre warn me though incase i don't take enough tyres etc. An hours racing is gonna kill tyres!!!!!

i will call you paul but i need a set of tyres and wheels for the S44, probably minispikes would suffice with medium inserts.

brian s
21-04-2011, 07:49 AM
paul, if anyone is desperate for spares from you, i can pick their items up from your shop later today and take them to caerwent in the morning, if it helps.
cheers

If anyone needs B4 or B44 spares I will have all mine with me if you're stuck.
Basically, you can have my parts and then replace them when Paul arrives.

Had an awesome day at Caldi, despite breaking 3 wishbones. Thank you to Andy for the excellent track, loved the big air jumps.

And lastly I owe a sincere apology to Pete Belsten for hitting him with my car. I really do hope your back gets better soon. If not, feel free to call claims direct. Lol

Thanks again to all involved for making today happen.

Echo Jamie's comments (well not the bit about hitting Pete), it was a great day...........

Thanks to all the hard work for those who helped get the meeting up and running, Andy layed out a fantastic track but can someone take the tape off him; never seen so much used in a race meeting.

Thanks to ALL the Caldicot crew...........

Thanks to all, it was a great day, very kanckered at the end of the day. That jump should be part of the new car testing spec, as it broke just about everything on my Cougar although if i could drive i would'nt of have that problem.

Cheers

Glad you enjoyed the track...I really enjoyed the day and the racing. The track was just challenging enough to keep it intersting for the full day, and was great fun. The BIG jump was ace fun, and even more so after a gentle 'you can easily clear that' word in my ear when a certain someone arrived ;)

Never one to turn down a challenge how could I not try it!!! Great fun, even if it ended in disaster in the last final...wall versus B44 at what felt like mach 10, never gonna be pretty, and sorry to Rob for the moment prior to that that ended his race early. Justice was done in the end though...all hail Rob 2 eggs West

Some slightly interesting lessons learned with regards placing large features/jumps and marshalling too...every day is a school day, and I promise to improve

Cheers for a top day guys :D
