I'm guessing this is only a WRCA round for the 1/8th classes?

It's the same weekend as the 1st national for 1/10th, so it can't be a WRCA regional round for those classes can it?

Pity though...7 min races and long finals would be ace fun!!!

Hope you have a good day, looking forward to making it up there at some point!

I'm afraid you are correct.
The WRCA moved the date for the 1st round from the 10th to the 17th of April and also Round 1 of the WRCA was Nitro only anyway.

The electric racers who attend will only gain points for the Big3 summer series that Ledbury are running during the summer.

Here is a link to Ledburys 2011 race calender.

Ledburys Big3 round 2 is on the 8th of May and the 4wd regional is on the 15th if you are interested in coming for a practise.

Drivers list updated as of the 7th of April.

Guy's, we need you to book in via e-mail or pm so that we can keep to the racing schedule as stated at the top of the drivers list.
If we have a lot of guys turning up on the day to book in, it will direcdtly effect how much time everyone will have on the track racing.
We will have to shorten the qualifiers and the finals which don't want to have to do.
We also need numbers of intended drivers so we can book up a burger van for the day as the gun club are not running a meeting so the local van will be closed.

so we need to get drivers booked in before race day.

IT IS FAR EASIER AND QUICKER TO REMOVE DRIVERS ON THE DAY THAN ADD THEM IN.

This is down to you, the drivers booking in.

We opened booking early enough so there is no excuse regarding time.

I hope you guys understand the reason for the above comment.

Jamie.

Ok guy's 6 days to go and we have 32 drivers booked in.
England 19.
Wales 13.
If you want to practice in the morning before the meeting starts and be ranked, don't forget to book in on or before the 16th.
Booking in on the day means you will be in the bottom heats and you will NOT get a practise run in the morning.

Ok Guy's 52 drivers booked in not counting the 2 English boys running scared :(
We could do with another 2 1/8 electric and 1/10 electric drivers so the we can leave the electric boys marshall themselve.
If the numbers don't change, we will still run both classes anyway with a little additional help with the marshalling from us giving nitro racer lol. :D

Butty van :thumbsup::thumbsup:
We have now confirmed a butty van for the days racing.
The gun club people will turn up and be open for business from 10am to 1.30pm so hot food and drinks will be avaliable on the day.

Had a fantastic day at Ledbury - some of the best racing i've ever had, I managed to take TQ by a little over a second.
The final was brilliant - managed to drop back to 2nd after a tangle in the second corner and spent the next 12 minutes hunting Axeman down, caught him towards the end with only a few seconds & a couple of corners to go - which resulted in a collision in mid-air. We finished virtualy side by side & 3 10's of a second between us and less than 2 seconds between the 3 remaining cars - Awesome drive from Axeman to take the win.................................I'll Av u next time!!

A fantastic venue, a well organised & run day - and only a little bit later finishing than normal (well worth the wait).

Has to be said one of the best finals ever!! When it said finish your laps my thumbs went numb!! and had to mistakes on the last few bends..

I think a few more changes to the car and I will be 2FAST4U!!! lol

Yeh totally agree with the above, piss poor day for me set up wise, from a dialed Losi eu on the old Ledbury layout to a crock of shit handling car on the latest layout, but by the last heat the car was alot better after a few changes, looking forward to more driving at ledbury to get it sorted.
I watched the 1/8th final from the trackside & it was a cracking race fairplay, probably one of the best races all day in fairness..(alot to be said for those wong kong brushless combo's)..but no i wont cave in...or will i???
BIG well done to the Ledbury massive on laying on a faultless day once again, looking forward to the summer series round 2 if i can swing it with er' indoors, doubtful as its the week after 8/11..but we'll see.

Well guy's all I can do is agree with the above post.
Fantastic racing,
The best weather,
Loads of banter,
Great atmosphere and loads of laughing amongst the racers.
I would like to say it was a great pleasure holding the WRCA round 1 and having the chance to catch up and chat with the drivers who haven't visited ledbury before.
I hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as I did.
I have started loading up some photos of the days racing.
The link is on the bottom of the drivers listing, (1st post) for you all to see.
Again thankyou for for making the days racing so much fun and competitive.

Oh and i'm not sure how reggie has worked the points out but they are not quite right. PMSL
