Can you spare more details...
I can only presume that you are talking about Time Machine backup program for the Apple Snow Leopard Operating System?
Or
Do you mean the Time Capsule device, that is also a modem/wireless router?

Or do you mean a machine to travel through time, in which case the first three replies were spot on:D

I think you are talking about time capsule...
See here: http://www.apple.com/uk/timecapsule/
I really cant see how a program can be plugged in:confused: or are you using an external hdd with time machine?
Time capsule doesnt mention anywhere about being an adsl modem....could this be part of the problem. Also are you plugging it into your house master phone socket... Not an extension? Do you habe your adsl filters installed in every phone socket in the house?
Let me know more details. I can always come over for a butchers if you want a second set of eyes on it

Looking at the specs...it does not contain an adsl modem, which is what you need to use both your phone, and broadband at the same time. This is probably what is causing your phone to go offline by the sounds of it. Your old sky router will probably contain the adsl modem, so you could try plugging the time capsule into your old sky router using a cat5/ethernet cable, then the sky router into the adsl filter using the smaller modem cable. I suspect you will need to turn off any dhcp/wireless services on the sky router to try it.
Give me a shout if your getting lost!

The time capsule does not have a modem built in, what sort of cable are you using to connect it to the phone line?
Your original modem/router will work fine with the time capsule but you need to get only one of them to do the routing part.
To make life easy just get a new modem like this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/118668?utm_source=google&utm_medium=products
This is the same setup as I've got and it's been working flawlessly for 3 years now.
