I am having real problems charging my LRP Tx lipo battery.

It's an LRP VTEC 3000mah 11.1v lipo that I use in a KO propo Esprit III transmitter.

The charger that I have is a Core RC UDC 30.

It has always charged fine, and I never let it drop below 11.1v on the transmitter voltage readout displayed on the screen. I have just come to charge it and it either starts and stops almost instantly, displaying a voltage of 11.38v, or the charger doesn't start and displays the message 'connection break'.

Any help would be very much appreciated

thanks

How many amps are you trying to charge it at?

The ones I had would only charge at 1-1.5 amps.

ah, that may be why I'm charging at 1C (3.0amps, as it's a 3000mah lipo. Correct me if I'm wrong as I'm am still a bit clueless to electrics (I raced rallycross for 4 years prior to making a change to electric). I'll give that a go though.

thanks

Glad it helped. Generally try only to charge driving lipo's at 1C. TX and RX lipos are better off at 0.5C or so as they are not the high amp discharge type.

Same here, my LRP transmitter lipo wouldn't charge any higher than 1.5A.
