Was looking for just a bit more space under the shell for speedo wires, receiver and wires etc. The standard shell has the indent at the bottom which loses you a bit of space, so with a bit of work managed to flatten the sides out to give a bit more room on the inside. A few edges have also been rounded off too to make masking and spraying a bit easier :)

End results came out quite well......... Hopefully the pics attach

Why thank you Sir :). Nothing wrong with the standard shell in the way of looks, just needed a tweak here and there.... (as we will all need in time )

Bill showed me this shell a few months back when it was in the early stages and the quality and finish is really good. Running speed passion and Futaba FAAST makes it really tight and that little ledge hit the plugs no matter what I did.

This design would solve all the issues I had and seal the bottom of the shell nicely into the pods to reduce water ingress a lot during wet racing.

I'll ask then.... How do we get hold of one of these - I don't really like the Gainabull shell. But this is slick & retains the original shape and look. Good work!

Didnt really plan on doing it to sell them, more of a project, we have a few left from the first batch, Will need to check on price but looking at £12 ish plus postage or collection. We have done wings as well in the same design as kit but the lexan is a bit thicker, although still flexible. Wings would be about £3.50 each.

There could be a queue for these! It's a very good idea and it looks great too.

Well, if you'd like to sell one, prices seem keen, and I'd like to try one out (I'd take a wing too, you can't have a new body and an old wing)

Good work! I agree, this is how they should have been in the first place.

Though, you might just have left me with a massive pile of Gainabulls I wont be able to sell :woot:

I promised Stu I'd post a photo or two of my Durango once I'd got my Shell painted (As supplied by Stu).

Paint was the work of oOple forum member Afun1979.

No stickers yet.. I'll sort those later.

Cheers lads.
I must say that although the bodyshell "tweak" may look only minor it does give you a fair bit more space for mounting the electrics and running the wiring.
For anyone on the lookout for a new shell or simply struggling to get everything neat in the car, i can't see why you wouldn't go for one of these, i've painted a fair few bodys over the years and the quality and price is great.
Good job Stu (Bill really)

Just bought a wing and body as I also run a Futaba receiver. Should hopefully make life a bit easier!
