So i've been meaning to get in to the whole rc car racing thing for a while now. And after a bit of looking around I narrowed the choice down to two cars. The HPI Blitz or the teamC racing tc02b brushless rtr buggy.

Two different cars between which i'm doubting. There are a couple of reviews for the Blitz out there which practically all prize it's toughness and easy to use. But it's not fitted with a brushless engine or a 2.4Ghz system. The teamC buggy on the other hand has been fitted with a brushless system and 2.4Ghz. But I have no idea if that rtr buggy is built solid.

Is there anyone who owns a teamC racing tc02b rtr buggy, and could they do a small review on it for the strong/weak points? Or maybe some of you could recommend me another beginner off-road electric 1/10 car?

Thanks in advance
Alfie

If you're planning on racing then head to your local club and see what's popular there. I suspect it will be team associated B4.1 which is also available rtr.

I'm not sure about getting competitive, maybe after some practicing. I want to get the feel off it first on the local construction site. But both cars do have a race class for them on the local track.

The Blitz will be much more fun to drive around if you are not racing. They are rugged and also a lot of clubs are starting to race heats for short course trucks now. (although you should check your clubs first)

I'm looking around a bit more and I stumbled upon the 'reworked' hpi e-firestorm. This one has waterproof electronics and a 2.4ghz transmitter. They also include a battery pack. Seems like a nice buy! What do you guys think?

I have an E-Firestorm and would have to say, if I had to keep only one of my stupidly oversize collection, it would be my pick. Its very hard to break and I always have a smile on my face when I bash or race it.

Alas, stadium truck racing is in the doldrums atm, so the reasonably priced Flux waterproof is likely only useful as a basher.

The Firestorm is a wonderful truck.
Out of all my cars it's my 2nd favourite.
It's strong, spares are plentiful, and there are plenty of hop ups for it.

The rc-thing is put on a bit of a hold, I want to pass my exams first (and the ones I'm resitting as well :D). Maybe the shops near my town will have the new e-firestorm on sale then.
