This is what happens when you leave a touring car and a Dremel lying around in my workshop
Thud specs -
- Schumacher Mi3.5/Cat SX hybrid
- 4wd twin belt drive system
- adjustable front brakes ( I like this one :woot: )
- built to BRCA Micro dimensions
- 205 mm width
- 190mm wheelbase
- approx 860gms RTR
- slipper clutch
- fully adjustable suspension ( have you seen what you can adjust on a TC ? !!!)
It still needs major work to finish it off but I gave it a run at Caldicot on friday and was pleasantly surprised
Have a look at the pics and let me know what you think ....

Cheers guys
And I have to say for a first run it drives really nice, and carries really good corner speed .... feels a lot more planted and predictable than my ol' Shark ....
BTW I love adjustable front brakes !!!:woot:
I'll get a couple of laps on video next time out ....
and the driveshafts are just cut in half and then hammered into a piece of alloy tube slightly smaller in size ....
That looks very cool, great job!
What do you mean by 'adjustable front brakes'? Is this something you came up with, or is it a feature off of one of the donor cars?

its a gadget made for the SX2, if I know correctly, its like a one way for the front on the center pully wth a slipper type assembly on it, so putting resistance on the one way, so if its all the way tight its like you have a diff in the front, all the way loose like a one way, and of course in between, so you can dial out front brakes is basically what it does.

Spot on
It is a Schumacher part for the Cat, I think Losi had something similar for the XX4, and maybe even the old Predators ... but the Schummi setup is really nice and infinitely adjustable just like a slipper. It also seems to act like some sort of centre diff when its not locked up, the front end of the the car doesn't push at all even at low speeds on polished floor :woot:

Excellent work
There are some crap projects in this section but every once in a while you get a gem pop up like this, good job.

Yes Carl I'll have it with me on sunday, its probably a bad idea with open diffs but I might even take it round the track :woot: and take all the pics you like
To Skidrow ... I don't think it will need a top deck, the chassis is 3mm carbon with pretty substantial front and rear ali bulkheads, its doesn't flex much !!
