Hi Guys
Hinckley are holding a club meeting and the first round of the DBoots/Durango summer series this Saturday 21st May 2011.
This is a great chance to get some 2WD grass track practice before the Coventry Regional on 22nd May.
Some pictures of our new venue/track (with awesome rostrum)

We start racing at 1PM on the Saturday, booking in closes at 12.45. 4 rounds of Qual Round by Round with 1 final for all. All tyres ok.
Also remeber you have the Coventry CLub Race Thursday night for actual practice at the venue...weather dependant on track surface I believe?
Thanks
Ben

Looking good, nice and bumpy looking compared to the old venue :) Sadly Saturdays are out for me this year.

Have to say.. Really like the venue, think it's loads better than the last one and I recon you have more potential to do more stuff.
Bit of TLC on that grass and it's gonna be killa!

Thanks for the kind comments
Considering the work we did on getting the rostrum and track there, we were surprised by how good the grass actually was with very little work :woot:
there were a few interesting bits we found during the day and we plan to maximise this area to really add some life to the track
some big names may be making an appearance this weekend!
should be a cracker

Ben,
can you explain a bit more detail about the summer series as I can't find it on Hinckleys forum only the race dates.
Big names, what old or new?
Rory Cull, Jamie Booth, Ben Sturnham, Kevin Moore or the new lot, :)
thanks
see you saturday

Sorry to be critical Ben but are you allowed to run on the surface you will be running the regional on the day before the main event?
I know there is a rule for nationals but not regionals. Just wondering how much advantage people will get going the day before the event thats all.

yup its the same as the past 2 years:woot:
We obviously run a different layout to minimise any 'advantage' from driving on a grass field from one day to the next

Fairy snuff, there will be a bit of an advantage to be had regarding surface experience / setup then for those that can get there on Saturday ..... now I have to decide if it's really worth the £175+ it would cost me to come over.
Either way see you for the regional.
