Having said that tho, in all the gear that I've ever bought from HK (and the mrs too with her jewellery stuff) never once been charged import duties.....and two of those items were ezrun 35a 9t boxes.

In practice, I find most HK sellers lie outrageously about the value of the package (at their own risk) so have never been stung that way - American sellers are much more scrupulous, so more likely to get hit from USA imports.

The problem of the fake is more an issue - however, you are covered, as Hobbywing have introduced a serial number system you can check on their website, and Ebay/PayPal will get your money back if it is fake...eventually. They do tend to favour the buyer.

ive never been hit by import taxes (fingers crossed) and all the products ive had have been good quality will see when this comes + if it is fake like the other guys have said can claim your money back.

im not too bothered if its fake or not as i know im covered + if it is fake it didnt turn up!

ok guys so it came this morning and as i expected its genuine ive included some photos of the box, esc and warranty card not the shinny serial number stickers 1 on the esc and the warranty card also the BLACK switch on the esc.

I got stung for import tax once. Was about £35 plus I had to do a 40 mile round trip to pay it and get the goods. Not nice!!
Small items you will get away with something like a TV maybe not.

I think you might have a fake. Look at the programming box front on yours and compare to the Hobbywing website it looks different and also compare the serial number on your ESC to the one on the card (mine were totally different).

I think I bought a fake off a guy called demon_2. I have missed the time to claim back my money through ebay and don't want anyone else to get caught.

On a side note would anyone use these fake ezruns I have a 8.5t combo.

right after reading up the links etc there defo real unless there now making them proper identical as this also has the red switch which the fakes have white 1s,so for 25quid there defo worth the purchase even just for the esc and sell the motor and programing card on
