Hello!
I bought a new set of Saddlepack LiPo's (Intellect IP 4200) about last august. I charged them once and drove around, then i broke something i think, and i put the car away. Until now when i remembered that i din't discharged the battery or anything.. they have just sat there in the car...
Is it dangerous to charge them again? I have a LiPo safetybag, so thats alright but stil...
PS: So tired right now, not focusing on spelling. Hope you understand!
Thanks
//Jakob

lipos can get unstable but only if you miss treat them like i did the otherday left my car turned on over night with the battery connected. the lipo was totally flat and bulging struggled to get it out of my car it had wedged itself in bit annoying really as it was the only 1 i have for that car.learnt my lesson from that

There's an informative write up about LiPo batteries on wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithium-ion_polymer_battery
Loads of stuff to think about with them, don't charge over 4.2v, don't let them go below 3v. Bloody dangerous if you don't have the right charger and keep your thinking head on whilst using them.

Firstly measure the voltage remaining in them. If it is below 3vper cell then your lipo charger may not accept them. If this is the case charge them at 1amp on a nihm charger for 1-2 minutes to bring up the voltage then put them back on your lipo charger to complete.

I'm sure that's easily done. I'll have to keep an eye on these lipo's.
When you say balance charge, my charger has a charge function and a seperate balance function. Do some chargers balance while they charge or are they the same?
