Ian,
Sorry, can't make it Sunday.
Too much excitement today with Steve's run away through the crowds.
Good show put on today for the crowds by Steve, Barry, Mark & Jess, well done to you all, what a show stopper.
We even had a few photo's of us with the cars from the local press.
Two more requests for attendance at village fairs/fetes.
And there was talk about a possible motorcross track at the garrison we maybe could use.

Steve,
Good day thanks.

Trevor.

TJP

Ian,

I believe a few are supporting a stand at Basingstoke Live to promote the club.

Davey is the photographer at Basingstoke Live.

I'm going to try and get an hour or so on Sunday, probably Beggarwood if anyone's up for it.

However, it is forecast rain and it is the Grand Prix, so no decision yet.

Trevor.

Hi Rob, Just realised you were bnbashers (lol know what that means now!) You met with Steve and Daniel yesterday. You should come along to one of our bashing sessions. Be good to meet up.

I just transfered your photos from the old yahoo group to the new facebook one. www.facebook.com/groups/brcclub (http://www.facebook.com/groups/brcclub) ;-)

Guys .
is the club any nearer to finding land to race on that they can call their own .
I am keeping a look out in and around odiham/hook and the hatch . i know its a little way but thought out of town there would be no noise problems and there is more likely a bigger piece of land to play with .

cheers jim

Hi epoxy

no not yet, We have another meeting in Newnham next week that Steve has arranged. I have finally had a response from Hampshire and they are going to run a search for me. I havn't had a response to my last 5 emails to Basingstoke, despite them saying they were very keen to help. So any suggestions are very appreciated and will be fully supported and followed up by the club.

I will definitely be looking for volunteers, maybe a membership discount could be in order:thumbsup:. We just need to decide our plan of action first. Direction is key (aswell as some free beer and food for the work force of course):woot:.

Arsey Phil, any news on the scaffold yet?

RCPhil
04-08-2011, 10:04 AM
I should get a call in the next few days.

If not I will chase.

The construction won't be an issue as I'm a qualified scaffold inspector so we can build to the correct standard.

We need to think about how we are going to support the scaffold.

Will we ne concreting some of the up-rights into the ground or supporting them on pavers?

Hi
I am currently racing indoor touring cars but am finding the fun factor is begining to wear off what with a certain amount of elitism and the cost . I am looking for some fun racing and not having to spend the earth on equipment to be reasonably on the pace.
I have an acme trooper and a ansmann mad rat would either of theses be any good to start off with outdoors at your club?

The mardaves look like a hoot too!

also where and when could i come along and take a look ?

TJP

Paul,
Sorry you've had no response, we generally use facebook for club chat http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/BRCCLUB/

We have just started meeting on a Wednesday night for practicing and Saturdays for track building/maintenance with Sunday for racing at The Woodyard off Roman Way.
This Sunday there will be no racing outdoors, but it will be Mardaves indoors.

Try the Facebook link and you'll get a flavour of what's happening.

Trevor.

Hi, can I make a suggestion that if you decide to cancel racing, that you post it on here and not just Facebook, to save me and another guy standing there for an hour.

Cheers

Jonno Unfortunately we only race 1/12 scale indoors and 1/10 buggy's and short courses on our outdoors track, Newbury race club races the 1/10 touring cars.

Although i might put a suggestion in for maybe a new race class for 1/10 small cars like the tamiya M chassis

If more people had 1/10 touring cars then i do think we would do it although we are still a new club and i do believe we are the only club in basingstoke atm

hope this helps

Regards

Pete

Also we are on facebook as well http://www.facebook.com/groups/BRCCLUB/
