Hi chaps,

just to let anyone racing next Sunday know that camping is available and free on Saturday night.

Gates will be opened 6:30am on Sunday for those travelling.

A food van will be open from around 7am or breakfast and open all day until everyone is fed.

Tuesday club meeting this week will run as usual for anyone wishing to try the surface, although the Regional track will not be laid out till Saturday and closed to everyone until heat 1 of practice on Sunday morning.

Anyone camping can play on remaining 1/8th track with their cars in the evening if they wish, although its different astro with lots of jumps so no advantage with testing tyres etc!

perfect for anyone wanting to bash a Savage, Revo or 1/8th about.

We do share the access road with businesses and a Motorcross track so please be careful and keep speed down for everyones safety.

Location details can be found on ME-OR website or www.A1RacingClub.com (http://www.A1RacingClub.com)

Any other questions, please use this thread or PM.

Hope to see you all Sunday (or Tuesday!)

Mark.

Yeah echo the comments above, track was really well prepared and it was obvious a lot of hard graft had been put into it. Worst weather i have raced in, just about thawed out now. Many thanks !

You beat me to it guys...

Big thank you to all that came today,

still gobsmacked how hardcore this regions racers are... with weather like that from the start of qualifying through to gates closing i was shocked at how good the racing has been today.

Thanks for the comments, you are all more than welcome and glad you made the best out of the appalling weather.

Really glad the track held up with drainage and was driveable all day with some concentration to keep lapping cleanly.

Highlight for me was definitely Blitz getting 9 laps in on a soaked track with 3 wheels on his wagon and then doing it again in the final, brilliant  (threadlock?!)

Cheers everyone, hope to be able to run meetings for the championship in future seasons and see you all and hopefully some sunshine at the next one

If anyone braved their camera getting wet and got some nice shots of the meeting then please get in touch, we have a few so when we've dried out and got some sleep we will forward them for the ME-OR gallery

Mark

p.s Top work Wes with sticking it in tha A final, you were well on form today matey

Thanks for the positive comments guys about the track and venue - makes it all worth it.

On a personnel note I have to say a massive thanks to Tony for his help in race control today and loan of the transponders.

it's a shame the pics don't show how bad the weather actually was, very impressed by the dedication of you guys and gals. :woot:

Cheers

Chris

and grip...

Were you racing on a different track to me? I think it's time for some new ballistics for myself :(

I enjoyed the layout of the track, and in practice before the rain came it was great to drive around.

Look forward to having a regio0nal there next eyar in the sunshine

For a first trip to a venue, I was impressed to say the least...
Nice Rostrum, excellent track, good butty wagon. All that is required for a good race meeting.

I only have one little 'gripe' the face of the first jump of the triple could do with a little evening out, it was very line dependant where you hit it and where you would land, making it have a much smaller racing line...

Oh, and could you plant a couple of hundred trees to stop that wind coming across straight into our faces :)

Seriously though, well done... hope to see it on the calendar again.

Thanks for the feedback Adam, appreciated.

The triple jump can easily be worked on and resculpted for the future, 'gripes' are accepted and needed for improvements.

with the track being only 6 weeks old it has been settling down and in the wet it was tough to hit the line through it every lap and a big gamble going for clearing all 3... although Mr Jolly was inch perfect over it every lap in qualifying!

There are 8ft banks going around the whole site to knock wind off the track and pit area... the pit area will have its extension finished to take more racers and for the rostrum we will definitley look at weather proofing as much as possible... although i hope Sunday's weather was the extreme limit!

glad you enjoyed it
