I have a dex410 and the motors are very often to hot (a lot more than in other cars), I have tryed different brands and turns/kv.

I use the car on astro, carpet, clay, etc...

Are using 6.5 and 7.5t usually, Losi and x12.

Are there any motors there are recomended in this car?

I also tryed the Trinity Epic and it seems to run a bit cooler than others do?

I have been using Tekin RsPro (until the bec-problem turn up!) and now I'm using the Nosram pearl evo. v.2 (90905).

Any idea and rec. for me?

Arne

I run a speed passion V3 7.5 almost everywhere without problem.
It gets a bit warm, but never too hot to hold and that's indoors on polished floor

Ok.

On my 2wd Xpro I drive the sp 9,5t. I use 29t pinion without any problems.

Last weekend I drove it in Odense, Denmark on a very (!!) high grip astro and it got hot, but with no problems.

In my 4wd I think the 6.5 or 7.5 is the thing for me. Does it run cooler than others?

I run a Tekin 6.5 in mine pretty much everywhere and had no issues with it. Your LRP will run hotter than most, thats there nature im afraid.

I'm running a LRP SXX TC with a 6.5t LRP X12.

They both get hot, but nothing to worrie about. Don't forget that the operation temps are close to that of a nitro engine!

I run a fan on the ESC also. That seems to keep the air flowing around the whole car.

I'm running a 20t Pinion and the Kit Spur. I drop to 19t sometimes for indoors.
my motor gets hot but its touchable.

I tent to run 19/87 indoors on a tight and slippy floor.

then 21/87 outdoors. If the track is so big it's topped out for most of the straight I'll change motor, but I found this works most places personally.

Chances are you are under geared. I run a 23 pinion, 87 spur with a 6.5 motor

Quickly to a different note now (as I think this thread is done), I just sent 'an ebay question' to the guy selling the carbon DEX, linked in the for sale section. I hope he has a sense of humour and shows it on the auction.

Hmmm I run the SP GT2.0 PRO ESC and an SP Comp V3 6.5T motor with 24/87 gearing

It gets hot, but not to hot... :D

I usually run the 7,5t with 87/19t indoor and 22 or 23 outdoor on my Tamiya transpeed (x12).

I can not hold the finger on the motor, but the esc is not so hot as the motor.

Are there any motors who are running cooler than others?

I have tryed different ones, but not all;-)

I have burned a tekin 5,5t and a trinity epic 5,5t and I did not overgear it. When I burn the epic it cause damage to my esc also cause the soldering got loose...

If you have burned out 2 motors i would say that you need to look elsewhere on your car, like speedo or settings, timming etc.
