conversion kit-- hobby pro/ansmann
fusion battery tray
Ezrun 150A
Trackstar 2560kv
Castle Creations 10A bec

As theres a few threads on conversions picked up a tip or two which should make my conversion a breeze, being i'll be putting back to nitro never cut radio plate used some carbon had laying about for servo plate/ rx mount, i'll be making up a extended plate for diff housing so esc has good mount. Opted for twin tray as one tray with 4s hampers shell,. Motor mount been dremaled attack so can use larger pinions

with motor mount reversed mounted on spacers so motor clears chassis

battery trays mounted

Had to find ideal location for esc which is at rear between battery trays, so grabbed a carbon fibre top plate had knocking around an cut off piece for mounting plate an make up spacers so too clear rear centre shaft.

Nice one wreckers, cool project. I am about to do something simular to a Hyper 7. How are you getting on with it now? Had much use/problems at all?

Do you think you need the fan on the motor, or could you get away without one?

PS - The dog seems to like it too!

if using lower kv rated motor temps be cool an no need for fan, but being as i'm using high kv motor an large pinion temps high on motor so fan helps level temp abit, i have cool down period after about 8 mins use as motor temps is on border line of safe  the speed is nice as tyres are reglued. Buggy was faultless as nitro going brushless made it bit quicker just need to find sweet spot with gearing/temp an stock up on lipos for it, been focused on hyper mini st (dogs truggy) BL conversion had going on whilst doing this so buggy not got any attention / goodies just used :D

if gonna use same kit i have u'll need to raise centre diff about 2mm so when motor installed not fouled by chassis an mesh be spot on, you decided on what leccy gear using?

Ok mate, thanks for the info.

Haven't decided what ESC/Motor Combo I am going to use yet, I was thinking of EZRun/HobbyWing 150A and some form of 2000kv motor, but still not quite sure....

Perhaps I should start my own thread really.

i'll avoid, its from a rtr model for a start, esc weak/limited with voltage input of 4s max , bec weak too 6v=2A so using a high power servo you'll suffer glitching or esc failure,
Don't waste your money on that.
