Ive got the above esc but so far i have run the standard factory default settings. Id like to add a bit more break force and also set the lipo cut out a bit higher to about 3.2V min. This would be easy but i dont have a card or a program box. Any ideas how to change it?

Cheers!

I think the only way to do it is with the programming card/box
Edit: you can do it using the little red setup button. Here is the manual that tells you how: http://www.hobbywing.com/upload/manual/HW-09-V2.pdf

I actually believe (will check on this) that you can only use the red setup button on the switch for the 9/10 setting firmwares .. if yours has 528MOD or later it will have the turbo functions and thus around 15 settings.

For those firmwares you need a box, either the LED one which I believe to be around £10 or LCD/PC interface box with is around £20 ... Racers In Exile (see my sig) is as always the place to go to.

I have used the both and only last week changed from carrying the LED to LCD in my pit box but that is more to do with helping folks update firmware at the track.

The reason you don't have it in your kit box is because it's in mine! Lol

I can vouch for the LED one being very suitable for easy set up. The only thing you can't use it for is changing the firmware.

Nb. The red button can not be used with the 528mod software.

My only concern by using the button method is that it's described the same way as for programming the range on your controller. My feeling is that to program the settings instead of pressing the red button, switching on the esc and then releasing the red button when the red light flashes. I think it should be with the esc on press and hold the red button till the light flashes, this is how m old orion vortex esc was lrogrammed anyway Anyone want to confirm this before I try?

Using the LCD card is the easiest method granted... you need one like this...

Available from all good model shops

However, I will say that programming via the red button is very easy, I did this last night on a friends new V2.1.

Its all there in the instruction booklet, just spend a bit of time reading it and understanding it.. its quite straight forward once you know how

You definatley need to hold the button down BEFORE switching it on
