Im getting tired of replacing brushes, i think i replaced them about 10-15 runs ago on my Reedy MW 11t Triple Motor.
Im looking to go brushless but need some opinions on brands, i see a lot of rebadging and things so im getting confused on what to buy.

Ive got about £100 to spend on the Motor and ESC togethor. And then some cash for the Lipo.

What do you guys recommend? Xerun/Hobbywing/Speed paassion any good? What kind of Turn do i need to match my current 11t Triple?

Im running an Xray T2 008 Touring car.

What about this?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XERUN-6000KV-5-5T-RC-Sensored-Motor-120A-ESC-ME254-/250741614171?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item3a615d665b#ht_5856wt_1135

Do i need programming card? Im quite happy using the LED thing, or can i not do certain things unless i have the Programming card?

it all depends if you are going to be running at brca meetings or just local clubs. i used to have a fusion exceed combo its sensored so nice and smooth fully adjust able but you dont get the program card with them you have to buy it seperate there easy to setup without 1 though.
there £89 from modelsport really good price for what they are.

Bashing with my neighbour =P I just want something that's reliable and a little faster than my current motor.

if you want faster choose from the chart below. either match or pick a faster motor than your 11 turn its a bit old but it will give you an idea
KV/BL/Brushed turn equivilent...

Castle Creations CM36 brushless / brushed equivelent:
S7700 (7,700kV) = 6-turn
S6900 (6,900kV) = 8-turn
S5700 (5,700kV) = 10-turn
S4600 (4,600kV) = 16-turn

LRP Vector brushless / brushed equivelent:
X-11 3.0 (11,400kV) = 3-turn
X-11 3.5 (9,800kV) = 3-turn
X-11 4.0 (8,600kV) = 4-turn
X-11 4.5 (7,800kV) = 5-turn
X-11 5.5 (8,100kV) = 7-turn
X-11 6.5 (6,900kV) = 9-turn
X-11 7.5 (5,900kV) = 11-turn
X-11 13.5 (3,350kV) = stock 27-turn

Novak SS/EX/Velociti brushless / brushed equivelent:
3.5R (10,500kV) = 3-turn
4.5R (9,000kV) = 5-turn
5.5R (7,400kV) = 7-turn
6.5R (6,400kV) = 9-turn
7.5R (5,800kV) = 11-turn
8.5 / SS5800 (5,000kV) = 13-turn
10.5 / SS4300 (4,200kV) = 19-turn
13.5 (3,300kV) = stock 27-turn

I have the 10.5t version of this and swear by it.
It's geared up to death and doesn't even break a sweat.
A truly wonderful combo' with many programmable parameters and read only options.:thumbsup:

What kind of ratio you running wit the 10.5t? How fast do you think that will be compared to my 11t Triple, should i go for the 6.5t or is 10.5t enough?

thanks for the advice guys

10.5t is equivalent to 19turn so wont be as fast as the 11t you have but if geared right will be fast if you want silly fast go for the 6.5t combo

Got my 10.5t (4500Kv iirc) in a buggy with a 7.1:1 fdr and I reckon it's doing low 40s.
The motor has scope for higher gearing without a doubt as it hits no more than 120F after a full pack.
I would say it's perfect for a tc or small buggy.
