Hello,

I am thinking of getting a 4WD 1/10 buggy but dont know which.

I am racing a B4.1 now and am pleased witht he quality of the car so was thinking of going for the B44.1

I have found the SK10-Pro by Caster Racing and it looks good to me but cant find any info on the car.

Has anybody got any thoughts on the car??

Thanks

Chris.

If you have a B4, which you like, then getting a B44 seems like a good option as they share some parts.

I don't know anyone who has a Caster.

There's some good options these days. The B44.1 is very good, and durango 410 is highly regarded (and the atomic ultra upgrade just got released!). If you run associated 2wd you will be used to the hardware and the 44 platform is very good. Don't rule out the catsx3 either as I used to have the sx2 and the build quality and set up options were excellent. Some like 'shafty' some like belt drive, but have a think if you want to run stick or saddle as the rango and 44 are both saddle packs. Oh, and the cat is as well.

If you fancy something a little different and like the rich heritage and 'home grown' feel of British engineering, have a look at the Predator...they are super cool and have been used by some of the top lads with great effect for years.

Hope that helps a little

I've got a few off roads

Sbv2, sbv3, yokomo bx and more recently a dex410r

But I find a bmax a dream to drive! Mine hasn't broken despite taking a beating! You can find one for a fairly good price these days. But parts is a problem. I also find my bmax easy to rebuild. The b44.1 is almost identical and comes from a good pedigree! I could really argue with that. I also think the parts issue is not a major issue.

Chris theres a chap at our club running a caster. It looks well made and exceedingly sturdy due to the high content of alloy.

He reckons he has certainly picked up the pace since changing from his hotbodies d4 .

Just make sure you choose a car that you can readily find spares for.

Ok cool i will have a look theis week to see if i can have a closer look at the Caster.

I do like the look of the B44.1 and spares are not a problem so it is looking like the best at the moment.

But i do like to have someting different, so who knows yet.

Also what turn motor are people using??

Cheers.
