BRAKE SETUP SP GT2

My setup is as follows Losi 22 and Durango 410 both with Speed Passion GT2's and V3 motors and using a Spec DX3R.
My question is i have never really used brakes at all in any form of RC racing and i know my lap times have suffered due to this, i'm interested in the way people setup there brakes in either 2wd and 4wd ?
With me using a steering wheel TX i'm after a wider braking band so i don't get caught out, if you know what i mean !!! :confused::thumbsup:

If you check our the Speed Passion website, there are some setup sheets on there from their Team Drivers. That should be a good reference point :thumbsup:

drag brake = 0%
inital brake = 20%
brake force = 100%
reverse force = 100%

Use the same set up on all cars, really good strong brakes and progresive too.

Apart from Rogers Initial Brake (I like mine at 0, especially in 2wd) I would go with that.

If you need fine tuning then adjust the End Point Adjustment on the transmitter for brakes to turn it down a bit (very useful in 2wd on slippy tracks - down to about 85-95% normally).

The reason I use 20% on my initial brake is that I personally like to have noticable braking effect just off mid stick (but only a little to help rotation etc.), that way I don't have to move the stick so far and can get back on the throttle quickly.

My guess is that it may well be due to my transmitter (KO universe stick set) and if I was using a wheel would probably want the opposite (i.e. having to move the trigger forward quite a way before getting braking effect)
