Hiya all,
Im thinking of doing some 4wd 1:10 electric off-road racing in the west midlands :)
I used to race about 13 years ago (when I was 13!). Only did it for a couple of years, but remember going to some great meetings and seeing some cool tracks. I started off with a Tamiya Manta Ray, then upgraded to the Top-Force, then I raced a losi truck and ended up with a Losi JRX-pro which I still have! Just dug it out of the attick on the weekend! Though I think most of my old gear perished to say the least! lol... :)
So Ive been doing a bit of research on the net and it seems like Kidderminster and Coventry are the nearest clubs to me (Im in Worcestershire). Unless anyone knows of any smaller clubs this way? Sounds like there was a Worcester buggy club but they're racing touring cars now :(
Car wise, Id only be doing this for fun on a budget, but it would be nice to get something thats fairly competitive and has the option to upgrade. Based on the reviews on this site and info Ive found elsewhere, the Durga seems like the obvious choice.
Honestly all these photos of buggy's on this site have got me itching to build a car and get racing :) Any info about clubs / meetings in this area would be appreciated. It'd be nice to go along and spectate if theres any coming up soon.
Cheers :)
