I'm running an old Novak GTB without the Lipo low voltage cut-off circuitry. I want to run 7.4v Lipo with a 5.5T motor and was wondering what's the easiest solution? I doubt I'd need it with a 4000mAh Lipo in a 5 min race but maybe there's a danger if I overun in practice.

This one is cheap and from a UK supplier. Is it good?

Sorry if there's a thread already... "Lipo low voltage cut off" are common words!

I have the same esc in one of my cars and use a novak smart stop. Those two you show are cheap but rely on you seeingand hearing the warnings and stopping yourself before your lipovoltage drops too low. The smart stop is more expensive but stops the car automatically eliminating you needing to pay attention.
Try an advert in the wanted section.

Thank you. Is is complicated or untidy to install?

Not complicated, a few extra bits of wire around, but easy enough to tidy up.

You have solder a positive and negative wire to the battery or ESC battery input positive and negative, then the Smart Stop plugs into the receiver and the ESC plugs into the smart stop.

A used one has recently been put up on eBay:

There are 2 versions. The later version has lipo cutoff built in. Not sure how you tell the difference from the ESC itself, but it is clearly printed on the box and it tells you how to enable/disable it in the instructions.

Just checked my box, it's built in :)

Good news. I'd still make sure it is on as you can disable it for when you are using NiMh.
