Ryan Cavalieri made it a double - and being only the 3rd driver in history to take both 2WD and 4WD titles at the same event.
Very exciting finals saw the consistent Cavalieri always up near the front and ready to take advantage of any errors - and there were lots. Jorn Neumann was the stand out driver for many after he lead the first leg of the A final with a healthy lead only to suffer motor problems and retire near the end.
Jorn again led the second leg after an error from Maifield but an error from Jorn allowed Cavalieri through and he didn't look back on his way to the title.
In leg 3 Maifield finally had things dialled and lead from start to almost finish with Jorn right behind in 2nd. Jorn put in an amazing pass on the last corner for the win to go 2nd overall with Jared Tebo taking 3rd overall.
The oOple report still has lots of content to be added and things tidied up - also we'll have a big gallery of photos from each day to sort through so keep checking back.

Amazing as usual from the Oople team:thumbsup:.
Looking forward to the report still to come and I have enjoyed it so far with great pleasure.
Too bad there for Jörn whom I think did an amazing race. Would been nice to something else as a winning manufacturer than AE but all creds to Cav who truly deserve the win.

Yeah congratulations to Cav for sure - It was great to see Jorn take the 3rd leg as I think it proved how awesome he was today despite not winning.

Congrats to the new world champion.
Jorn great shame to go out through a motor failure, did I read other motor failures in the Durango - Boots etc?
Jorn for the Euro title?
Congrats to Orion too, how many more big names will make the move.

Think you guys need more slippery dirt tracks to race on instead of those bumpy touring car tracks you have got;) Much more fun!

As a Tamiya fan I´d of course would´ve preferred to see Tamiya win or at least score a little better - though I'm more disappointed about the fact that I wasn't there to see the Worlds live (I was on holiday to London so I had a good time anyway). I read the oOple report though, really AWESOME!

Thank you team oople for the coverage and all the other people that were posting pictures and videos from the event. I much enjoyed watching the worlds from a far. I hope they never change the worlds away from dirt, in fact I wish it was on a little more dirtish dirt (powdery dirt). Never been much a fan of this whole carpet offroad racing but I understand it makes life much more simple in the wet and wild UK

@till - its loading from your cache most likely.
Either go to your browser options menu and clear your cache or if you dont want to do that, just go to the page you cant load
Click anywhere in the white area of the page
Now holding down the CTRL button, press F5 on your keyboard.
This will force the page to load from server rather than your cache.
Enjoy! :)
they realy know how to pose with a tranny :wub

i don't tink so but we will never know, 511 is still tamiya's best

I only get leg one of the finals on page 8, and nothing more, despite deleting cache and refreshing. Any advice?
