I run an R version and the only upgrades you need is the following:
1) Alloy front brace and you'll need the pivot balls.
2) Fibre-Lyte carbon front and rear shock towers.
3) P5 o-rings for the diffs, HPI part no A020.
4) The rubber boots are cheap as chips too.
5) HD hall cups when they are released

They are only not available as there is a new one on the way very soon.
2nd hand ones are in the for sale section if you want one, I think they are going for less than £300 Inc spares.
The dex410 is the best car I've ever run.

As the new DEX410 ( not R ) cost just below 300£ i would really hope no one is ripping anyone off by taking the same amount for a used noe, not even with spares..
I myself bought the R version and upgraded is with the options that makes sense to have just as dpackster1980, exept i will wait with the carbon shock towers.. :) and it is much cheaper, those money i invested in spring collections and swaybars, so i can dial it correct, or the best to my skills :)

It's only recently in the sale that the price went down that far, the normal kit price is/was £450.

It's not a rip off to ask more than £300.
Look at the TRF511 market!
supply and demand :)
ps. I wouldn't bother upgrading anything on a DEX410R unless you break it

Thanks for the info guys, I've never brought a new kit and I think I will this time, so if I brought the R is there a shell and wing, wheels and what about oils for diff.
I think I'd go for a new r and like big g said replace the broken parts with upgrade parts, I'm also going to need saddles too, anyone got any cheap used sets?
I've user fibre lyte in the past so I'll probably go for them parts.

Mine started as an r but is pretty much fully loaded now with the exception of a couple of the servo mount and spur mount and sway bars. I also have big bore shocks but found them unnecessary really. The r comes with everything except tyres and inserts and sway bars. I never used the kit oils though as I stuck with what I already use for shocks and bought different diff oils for tunability.
