This release doesn't come at a good moment for me... I was just about to order a TRF201! Doubts, doubts... Perhaps I should save more money and buy both!

As for the DEX210 itself... the shell looks a little low, though very nice and very much in Durango's style it seems! :)

Come on jimmy, show us a proper picky, not some dodgy 'cougar' style silhouette :)

I assume it's not far from the car in the worlds report ?
Personally I hope it's better as that looked pretty average !

^ TLRacing site :) minus the front bearings..

The rear motor that appears in the picture or at lest looks to be rear motor. looks very much forward under the shock tower.. need to see more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I imagine it won't be so different to Elliot Boots' Durango that he was driving at the worlds. Lots of pics on the worlds report, day 2.

I'd disagree tbh, I'd imagine that it will actually be a reasonable amount different to the prototype cars. For a start, i'd be very surprised if you have to use a short stubby servo.

At last....can't wait to see the whole buggy, I hope its as refined and well produced as the 410's I keep drooling over....and mid motor options!! Perfect...I feel the 2wd collection growing very soon :D avvviiiit!!

Im gonna guess the patent is for mid motor rear tranny with the shock tower being in between the two somehow to increase rear traction.

It was the CAT which first had the dodgy silhouette ;)

Motor on the other side? Thats a little strange. I noticed that the prototypes at the worlds didn't have this. I cant quite see how mid motor will work, or how you can use a single shell for both configurations? The next round of pics will be interesting.

...And people were nagging it would look too much like the TLR22 because the motor position would be reversible...

I love it! It's quite a lot of plastic for Durango, but knowing how good and accurate their parts were on the DEX410 I built, that's not an issue at all! Love the idea they have a patent pending for... Perhaps something to look up soon (if it's pending, it should already be published, right?)

Big G

well, although the shell is quite low at the back it's only the motor height it really needs to clear so it keep the larger part of the gearbox where it is and link the pinion somehow into it...

just a random guess

I can't wait :D

looking at the photos of the worlds there are a few alu parts in places where there are plastic on these photos. although the bootsy photo is a completely different car there are a couple of items that could fit both

My guess is that it looks like you can run a 4 gear or 3 gear box in either mid or rear motor config. So you can choose what way you want the motor to throw its inertia, thats my guess for what the patent may be for, if so thats a pretty cool idea

I believe it's a mirrored layshaft so you can put the motor+motorplate on the other side. ;)

Nothing too new there in suspension layout or geometry.

Interesting there is no pic of it assembled mid in motor config.

Is this the first production car ready to race with the motor rotating the 'wrong' way? Not sure how prevalent this config will become lol. Is there a thread somewhere discussing how this affects a car?

Looks lots nicer than any B4 variant conversion available at the moment (or not);).

All in all a very nice looking car.

The motor isn't spinning differently to the b4 setup. if there are still 3 gears in the transmission it'll still spin the opposite way to the wheels.

It just so happens to be mounted the other way round. Makes no difference to the way it spins. :)

a well executed design ( not rushed ):)
hats off... round of applause to durango.

Looks good! Was expecting more aluminium... but maybe they are aiming to compete with the Losi 22 price wise?? Looks like steel turnbuckles, and with the moulded towers, perhaps they are trying to keep the price down? :)

The motor will spin in the same direction, but the car would be running backward! To run the motor on that side of the car you need a 4 gear box and then the motor will rotate in the same direction as the wheels. Makes no difference whether the motor is mounted in front or behind of the shock tower in terms of the direction of rotation, it does matter which side it is on.

So has there been any actual indication of dates or prices.

Busy end of the season with the C4.1, Durango and various 22 options knocking around.

I'm about to sell my SV & SX3 - lol not because I really want to just a case of downsizing due to other aspects. So I think I'll get out my old XXCR with brushless and wait for the dust to settle re personal stuff and all these new options..

The notches are also there on the driveshafts to fit the boots just like the DEX410

clips on the wing are a little disappointing. I was sick of loosing a B44 wing all the time. Never had the problem with the screws

Wonder how long it will take before a +8mm chassi becomes avalible as an option.
